Who We Are

CYN Apps is an independent app studio dedicated to building tools that are simple on the surface and useful underneath. We believe the best apps are the ones you stop noticing - they just work quietly in the background of your day.

Every app we ship is designed for Apple platforms using native technologies because users deserve software that feels at home on their devices.

Founder

Cynthia Luo is an indie app developer and the founder of CYN Apps. She builds native apps using Swift, with a focus on tools that respect the platform, user privacy, and clear workflows. DeskMemo, PopFS, and Suda Packing are her independently developed apps.

Our Philosophy

Privacy by default

We do not collect personal data. Your notes, browsing, and usage stay on your device and in your own iCloud account — never on our servers.

Native Apple platforms

Our apps are built with native Apple technologies and designed to feel at home on the devices where people use them.

Thoughtful features

We add features only when they genuinely improve the experience. We would rather do three things well than ten things adequately.

Direct relationship

We are a small independent team. When you email us, a real person reads it and responds — usually within 24 hours.
